‘May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand’
From one veteran to another, Godspeed sir.

As you walk with the lord in his kingdom, others stop to see the proud Marine in his blues. Your steps are measured and solid, your head held high showing the pride you display while wearing the uniform of a United States Marine. The globe and anchor is polished to perfection, shoes shined to a brilliant glossy luster, your shirt ,jacket, and pants pressed , the crease is arrow straight.
You can rest easy now sir.
You completed your mission.
We have the watch.

Thank you, sir, for your service to this great country. I read on the internet about Mr. Brooks's passing and I'm so glad so many people were willing to step up to contribute their services and attend this soldier's funeral. TO THE FAMILY OF MR. BROOKS: shame on you! Shame on all of you for abandoning this man and for not stepping up to give this soldier a proper military burial! It's called karma and someday it will hit you.

I read the news every morning, and this was the first piece I read. It made me sad at first but then relieved when I heard that there were people there to send you home. I hope you had a full and happy life. You sure were appreciated, if only by those that didn't know you and certainly for those that did. Thank you for your service.
