Obituary of Robert Earle MacWilliams
Robert MacWilliams, 96, of West Rockport, Maine passed away on April
13th in Rockport, ME.
Robert was born December 29, 1927 in Rockland, ME to Earle and
Pauline (Laufer) MacWilliams. He graduated from Rockland High School
class of 1946 and served in the Air Force in Japan before returning
home and working 31 years as a Letter Carrier. He was a member of
the Midcoast Antique Bottle Collector Club and of the West Rockport
Volunteer Fire Department. Robert enjoyed woodworking, constructing
many antique reproduction furniture pieces and kitchen cabinets,
gardening, and watching the birds.
Robert is survived by his wife of 72 years Agnes (Bald), children, Ann
(MacWilliams) Chase and husband Stanley of Newburgh, Douglas
MacWilliams of Belfast, David MacWilliams and wife Christine of
Cushing, John MacWilliams of West Rockport, grandchildren Kimberly
(Nealley) Patterson and husband Devon of Hampden, Scott Nealley and
wife Kimberly of Bangor, Benjamin MacWilliams of Cushing, great
grandchildren Graydon Patterson, Jaycee and Abbigail Nealley.
He was predeceased by his parents Earle and Pauline MacWilliams.
As Robert was a private man, he wished to continue that in passing
with a private interment. Those who wish to gather in memory of
Robert are welcome to stop by their home on June 8 th from 1 – 3 PM.
