I am a cousin of Bill’s. We never met but were in contact regularly over the last ten years. I felt I knew him well through his gentle posts and love of nature and the seasons. I shall greatly miss hearing from him. RIP Bill.

Bill was my roommate in Graduate School at CW Post on Long Island. We enjoyed our year together but lost touch for over 40 years when I found him again in Maine where we both had moved. Getting back in touch and getting together periodically was great and seeing his art on FB (and his incessant photos out his window) continued to show how active his mind was. It was his body that failed him. I'll miss him a lot.

His death is shocking to me on so many levels. He was a classmate of mine at Avon and apparently, a neighbor of mine in Newcastle, Maine and, his middle name is also my family name. I remember Bill at Avon. His maturity and intellect was well above the rest of us. We all secretly wished we could achieve the same level of confidence the school administration had of Bill but the rest of us just fumbled through life at Avon. I have not spoken to Bill since Avon but he has been in my fond memories of Avon. My sincerest condolences and my heartfelt embrace to Bill's family.
