Obituary of Barbara A. Brazier

Barbara A. Brazier, 75, of Augusta, Maine, passed away on November 23, 2023 at her residence in Augusta.

Barbara was born in Augusta, Maine to Earl A. and Mary E. (Clark) Brazier on June 20, 1948. She went to high school at Skowhegan High School and graduated in 1966. She went on to study accounting at the Skowhegan Business School. She worked at a number of jobs until she started at Digital where she worked for 26 years.  She worked for the state of Maine for 6 years while teaching adult education. She gave to many charities, especially those involving children.

Barbara looked forward to family gatherings and was always there to help family or friends.  She never passed up an opportunity to give a loved one a hug.  She loved the outdoors.  She was fond of hiking, snowshoeing and fishing.  She loved flowers and enjoyed putting puzzles together with her friends.

Barbara is survived by her brother and his wife, Earl and Rachel Brazier and many nieces and nephews, Lee Duell, Lance Duell, Wade Brazier, Corey Brazier, Amy McRae, Eric Hunt and Peggy Nevells. She is preceded in death by her sister, Nina Brazier and nephews, Ronnie Brazier and Ringo Hunt.  She also had many close friends who will miss her dearly.

At her request, there will be no funeral or visitation. At a future time, there will be a graveside gathering for the family.
