Eve and Lindsey, I was saddened to hear the news about Pete. From afar, I was a teammate of Pete's at Ole Miss as a freshman and he was a Junior and also in Hutchinson, KS for summer ball. What a guy! And from your tribute he continued to live his life out as a special person. I was also drafted by the Astros out of Ole Miss and he was one of the first calls I made to let him know I would be an Astro as well. I think I caught him in the clubhouse before a game. He congratulated me and gave me one tidbit of info. He said, "Congrats on your pick by the Astros but just so you know...they don't pay!" And that turned out to be true. He was truly a gentle giant in stature and heart. My prayers are with you, Jeff Calhoun
