Timothy Brewster

Obituary of Timothy Richard Brewster

Timothy Richard Brewster “Brew”
June 17, 1981 - October 17, 2023

Over the last two years, Brew traveled a heroic journey with Lymphoma. His strength and
positivity was awe inspiring.

Brew was born in Rockport and grew up in Union. He was very involved in athletics, Boy
Scouts, 4-H, and enjoyed any activity outdoors.

In middle and high school, he played the trumpet in the school band. He took that talent into a
band called “Jiving Miss Daisy”. They performed at the Lobster Festival opening for the Rustic
Overtones, competed at the State Theater in Portland, and many other locations.

As an adult, he became a skilled carpenter, where he earned the name “One Cut Tim”. Working
with wood was an art to him. Along with building the perfect set of stairs or kitchens of custom
cabinets with a live edge countertop, he loved to build furniture for family and friends.
Brew found a lot of joy in grilling and smoking meats. He could whip up a delicious feast,
including his own smoked potato salad. (Does anyone have the recipe?!?!?)
Brew was predeceased by his grandparents James and Anita Curtis, Richard and Sally
Brewster and beloved stepfather Alexander “Sandy” Smith.

He is survived by mother, Deborah Smith of Union, and father, Ricky Brewster and wife Teresa
of Rockland, sisters, Cheryl Brewster of Windham, Nicole Hatch and husband Craig of
Rockland, Jessica Nelson and husband Jeff of Union, Erin Payson and husband Matt of Union,
Christienne Jones and husband Ricky of Thomaston, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

The family would like to thank Tim’s closest friends, who never left his side and helped make
this process easier for Brew. They feel blessed to know he had such a caring tribe around him.
They would also like to thank Beacon Hospice, especially Cheryl, Dakota and Barbara. Their
kindness was above and beyond.

Please join us at one of Brew’s favorite spots to hang with his friends, The Bog, 2919 Atlantic
Highway, Waldoboro, Maine on October 28th from 11am -2pm. Come and toast to a life well
lived.
