Obituary of Joshua Northwood Simmons

Joshua N. Simmons, 38, Hope, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2023.

Joshua was born on December 4, 1984, to Timothy Simmons and Robin Genthner. Brother to Danielle Ward and Bronson Simmons. Josh grew up in the Warren and Waldoboro area, was always a hard worker, and lived life to the fullest with a big heart but a confident fun attitude that the rules never applied to him.

Joshua and his partner Jade Gagnon had two sons, Landyn and Corbin. He was an incredible, loving father whose life revolved around his boys. They loved to fish, garden, and build stuff. Wherever you saw Josh you saw his boys right next to him. Josh was artistic and super creative like his father and a long-time clam digger and roofer with his Uncle, Ron. He was always helping his father around “the gully hole” and spending time with one of his best friends, his brother. A momma’s boy who loved her food, a special bond with his sister, and so deeply loved by his nieces and nephews. Family-oriented is what Josh was, never missing a family event, walking around with a smile or shit-eaten grin that will never be forgotten. He is loved by many, family and friends and will be sadly missed. Heaven gained a rebel Angel with a heart of gold the day Joshua's soul left his body here on Earth.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Timothy Simmons and Robin Genthner, his sons, Landyn and Corbin Simmons, his partner Jade Gagnon, his sister and husband Danielle and Steven Ward, his brother and girlfriend, Bronson Simmons and Danielle Demeritt, his nieces Skylah and Ashlyn Ward, Audreena and Addison Simmons and nephews Mahsyn Ward and Austin Simmons. His grandfather and partner Ronald Genthner Sr. and Lois Brown. Also many cousins, aunts, and an uncle. Joshua was preceded in death by his grandmother Patricia Genthner.
