Obituary of Steven P. Adams

It is with deep regret we announce that on September 14, 2023, Steven lost his battle with ALS. He was loved by many and was surrounded by those who held him dearest in their hearts.

Steven was born to Paul and Mildred Adams and grew up in New Hampshire and Maine with his siblings Penny and Kenneth. Steven touched many lives, either through his comedic ways or through music, and there was never a dull moment when he was in a room. He was a devoted husband, an avid hunter and fisherman, wonderful father, and an amazing guitar player. He took pleasure in teaching his wife to shoot guns, hunt deer, to play bass and acoustic guitar. To say he will be missed is an extreme understatement. On the eve of his passing, he demanded to be brought to the kitchen where he had his daughter, Amber, and her friend play his old guitar and sing all his favorite cowboy songs for him, just as was always done. Our lives will forever be influenced by his passions, and he will be forever loved and missed. At Steven’s request there will not be a funeral, however, the family will have a gathering for those who wish to attend at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Adams of West Gardiner, his brother Kenneth Adams of New Hampshire, his children: David Adams of Gardiner, Sarah Adams of Gardiner and Amber Mann of West Gardiner, and his grandchildren: Emmett and Ava Adams, Martin and Nyssa Adams, and Cylas and Hailey Lewis, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was expecting another grandchild, due this coming April 2024.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Paul and Mildred Adams and sister, Penny Stiman.
