Obituary of Nancy Haines

Nancy Ellen Haines, 86 of Dixfield passed away on August 19, 2023, at the Rumford Community Home. She was born on January 11, 1937, in Everett Ma. To Stuart and Ruth (Chute) Bell. Nancy was a graduate of Everett, MA High School. She was married to John V. Greene for 32 years and had six children. 

She was a nursing assistant for many years at several nursing homes in Massachusetts. When she was unable to do that type of work any longer she moved to Maine and started a gas station business in Livermore Falls with her family.

She enjoyed camping for many years at Dummer's beach. Her many hobbies that she enjoyed were sewing, knitting, crocheting, and computing until her eyesight failed.

She is predeceased by her parents Stuart and Ruth Bell, ex-husband John V. Greene, husband Raymond Leblond, husband Richard Haines, son John D. Greene (Jack), daughter Joanna Ford, granddaughter Ellen McClearn, grandson Johnny Greene, grandson Jayson Ieronimo, step-son Kevin.

She is survived by her daughter Kim McClearn and husband James, son Gregory Greene and wife Kristen, son Rick Greene and wife Ellen, daughter Bonney Cochran and husband Randy. Step-children include Joseph, Jean, Karen, and James. 10 grandchildren: Jay, Stephanie, Tiffany, Katelyn, Stephen, Becky, Brittany, Derrick, Darrel, and Deidre. 10 great-grandchildren: Patrick, Jonathan, Kiera, Kaylen, David, Alyssa, Aubrey, Brent.

The family would like to thank everyone at Rumford Community Home for the wonderful care they gave her during her stay. Also, thank you to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
