Obituary of Lucy H Minder

Lucy Hilton Minder, age 70, died August 7, 2023 after a brief stay at Sussman House hospice. Originally from Rumson, NJ and later Oceanport, NJ, she was a resident of Rockland, Maine for the last 19 years. A talented quilter and gardener, she died under one of her brightly colored handmade quilts, surrounded by the recently bloomed Dalia’s cut from her own garden.

She is survived by her husband William Minder; her children, Scottie (Jesse) Urmey, Timothy (Jennifer) Varone, Jack (Ashley) Minder, and step-son William (MaryEllen) Minder, IV; and eleven grandchildren. Lucy was predeceased by her parents John Allen and Lucy Scott Hilton of Rumson and later Sea Bright NJ. She is predeceased by her brother Peter and sister Judith Hilton and survived by her brothers Hank, Jamie, John, Mark, and sister Sarah Hilton.

Memorial services will be planned for a later date.
