Obituary of John Christopher Ring
John C. Ring of Rockland Maine, formerly of Woodbury, Connecticut passed away suddenly at his home on June 30th, after a long and valiant battle with a neurological brain condition. He was 58 years old.
Prior to the onset of this condition, John was a Master Electrician for both residential and commercial properties. A lifelong New York Rangers and Yankees fan, Johnny was also an accomplished athlete. Although he won numerous awards for tennis and skiing and was scouted for soccer as early as his freshman year in high school, his passion was for playing hockey! Throughout his childhood and adulthood, he won numerous trophies for both ice hockey and deck hockey.
John is predeceased by his beloved grandmother, Lucille Montgomery; his parents, Lynn Ring of Connecticut and John Ring of Ireland and Connecticut; and his eldest sister, Kristen. He is survived by his sisters Terralene and Kathleen of Connecticut who cherish his memory; and extended relatives in the US, Canada, Ireland, and Scotland; the numerous friends he made wherever he went; and his family friends, Albert and Shawna Fogg of Rockland, Maine.
A celebration of life will be scheduled later, for those who wish to remember John. John was precious to those fortunate enough to know him, his quick wit, and his kindness of heart. He will be dearly missed.
