Obituary of Vivian A. McCormick

Vivian Adelle McCormick, 84, of Alton, Maine, passed away following a brief illness on January 9,  2023, at a Bangor hospital with family by her side.
Vivian, one of 3 children, was born February 12, 1938, in Brownville, the daughter of Milo and Regina  Bowley.  She married Herschel McCormick, and together they raised two sons, Ronald and Rickey in Brownville Jct.  After 40 years together, Herschel passed away from cancer.

Vivian's kind, compassionate, and loving heart left wonderful memories throughout the neighborhood. Many youth from that time affectionately call her Momma Viv.
She later met Anthony Cyr, and the couple settled in Alton. Through their 23 years together, they enjoyed participating in antique car shows, traveling to Florida, taking cruises, and the daily visits from wonderful friends and neighbors. Anthony Cyr passed away in November 2022. 

Vivian was predeceased by her son Ronald Allen McCormick in 2017.

She is survived by her son, Rickey McCormick, and his fiancé, Kathy  Pratt, of Brownville, Maine; her grandchildren; Justin McCormick and his wife Laura, of Texas; Jason McCormick and his wife Allison, of Maine and Florida; Ryan McCormick; and Darcy McCormick Burgess. Great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Jacob, Madison, Korbyn, and Grifyn.

A private burial will be announced at a later date.
