George joined the United States Marine Corps directly out of high school. George was a force recon Marine. His love for his country was true up until his last breath. George was a woodman and a very avid hunter his entire life. his passion for his hunting was like no other. There was not a family in the surrounding communities that went without food for many years because of George.
George was a man of many colors. Wild and crazy yet compassionate and caring. He left his mark on anyone that met him. He gave his shirt off his back to anyone in need. One of his last dreams was to get one more trophy deer, which he did on Veterans Day before he passed. An 11-point whitetail deer.
George was predeceased by his parents, George (Sr) and Pricsilla Farrar. He has many grandkids and great-grandchildren whom he was very proud of and spoke of them often. George also had so many good friends we couldn't even begin to list them all. You all held a very special place in his heart.
a very special thank you to the two Hospice ladies, Molly and Ruth for their compassion in his last days.
There will be a later date for a memorial for George in the spring/summer up to camp in the Oxbow.
