Augusta-Jeannie E. Turmelle (Tondreau), 86, died peacefully with her family by her side on November 5, 2020 at Maine General Medical Center of Augusta. She was born in Augusta on May 12, 1934, the daughter of late Louie and Amelia Tondreau. Jeannie was also predeceased by her sister Leonette and husband Antonio Gagne, her husband Robert Turmelle, and the father of her children Alfred J. Levesque. Jeannie worked at Edwards Cotton Mill and Staler Paper Mill for 37 years. She was a hard worker throughout her years. From a child she enjoyed playing piano and listening to some of her favorite singers; Lawrence Welk and Daniel O’Donnell. Her love for music she shared with everyone up until the day she passed away. On her time off she enjoyed going out with her special friend, Bunny, to BINGO. In her older years she became more of a home body enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up in front of her eyes. She is survived by her three children, Yvonne Rood and Yvette Levesque of Augusta and Sylvio (Joe) Levesque and wife Linda of Vassalboro. Grandchildren, Joanne Nelson and husband Don of Vassalboro; Lance Rood of Portland; Nathan Levesque and wife Faith of Augusta. Great grandchildren, Jacob and Ashley Nelson and Owen Levesque. Niece June Soucy and husband George Jr. of Pittston; predeceased nephew Robert Gagne and survived by wife Maxine of Augusta. Along with several other beloved family members; Shane, Melissa, Jason, Jessica, and Leanna. To complete her wishes there will be no viewing but there will be a mass at a later date (TBD).
