Obituary of James R. Pendergast

JAMES R. PENDERGAST SR., 58, died December 4, 2009 in Bangor. He was born in Belfast February 6, 1951, the son of Donald C. and Mary M. (Dunbar) Pendergast. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved ice fishing. He was employed at the Bucksport paper mill for over 37 years. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Donald, and is survived by his mother, Mary Pendergast of Belfast; his mother-in-law, Marion Sawyer of Belfast; his wife of 37 years, Judy A. Pendergast of Belfast; two sons, Timothy Pendergast and wife Hayley of PA and James Pendergast Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Camden; a brother, Donald Pendergast Jr. and his wife Juanita of Northport; two brothers-in-law Tom Sawyer of Vinalhaven and Eben Sawyer of Stockton; his grandchildren, Corey and Kasha; two nephews and one niece. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 8th at 11 a.m. at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Interment will follow at Grove Cemetery in Belfast.
