Obituary of Lester Francis Cunningham

LESTER “FRANCIS” CUNNINGHAM, 80, died December 4, 2009 in Belfast. He was born in Lincolnville October 24, 1929, the son of Elbridge and Faustina (Morse) Cunningham. He worked for many years at Delta Chemical in Searsport. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood-working. He was also a handyman who enjoyed having a garden. He was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy; a son, David Cunningham; daughter, Carol Cunningham; siblings Thomas Cunningham, Maynard Cunningham, Adolf Cunningham and Pauline Fairbrother. Francis is survived by his wife of 18 years, Elaine Cunningham of Belfast; his children, Donna Hopkins and husband Steve of Belmont, Alan Cunningham and wife Gayle of Winslow, Bryan Cunningham and wife Pat of Belfast, James Cunningham and wife Hughette of Searsmont, John Cunningham and wife Debbie of Ohio; brother Paul Fairbrother of Prospect; sister Betty Smith of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 22 step-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 14th at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast with Rev. Art Fairbrother officiating.
