Obituary of Daniel Michael Bradstreet
Daniel Michael Bradstreet passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by friends and family, at EMMC on December 29, 2009. He was born in Milford, Connecticut, July 13, 1957, the son of the late Richard T. and Elizabeth M. (Temple) Bradstreet.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Bonny J. of Milbridge, and his children, daughter Tracy Batson, also of Milbridge, sons; Daniel Faulkingham of Gouldsboro and Ryan Wood and wife Heidi of Jonesport.
He is survived by his sisters and brothers; Donna Grindle and her husband Dave of Columbia, Anna Duquette and husband Ed of Waldoboro, Lisa Bradstreet and companion Jim Mancini of Windham, Eric Bradstreet and his wife Kelly of Milbridge, Mark Bradstreet and his wife Cathy of Searsmont, and Jeffery and his wife Sherri of Dixmont.
Dan was loved and will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Betty Martin of Milbridge, and two sisters-in-law; Karen Manning and husband Sean of Sullivan, and Emily Wallace of Jonesport.
He had six grandchildren who loved their Grumpa; Daryn, AJ, Taneshia, Jade, Jordan and Jasmine; and a very special Aunt Marilyn MCCulloff of Birch Harbor, several other aunts and uncles, and many nieces and nephews.
Dan was predeceased by his parents and infant sister Jennifer, his father-in-law Lester (Mickey) Wallace, his brother-in-law Lester M. Wallace, Jr., and two sisters-in-law, Judy L.Wallace of Gouldsboro, and Becky F. Holbrook of Harrington.
He spent most of his life working on the ocean, he was an enthusiastic fisherman, and loved fishing off Eastport. He enjoyed playing golf, and going to his brother Jeff’s hunting camp to hunt with family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor that he shared with everyone he met, and lived life to the fullest. He will be sadly missed by all, including his much-loved pets and especially his parrot, Tizo.
Dan spent his last years working for the town of Milbridge, working as the superintendant of the town’s Waste Water Treatment system.
Dan’s ashes will be spread and his services held on Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park on June 25, 2010. His family will announce the time at a later date.
