Obituary of Howard Chipper Dahl
Howard Dahl “Chipper” Age 63, Gardiner, Maine
Chipper Dahl went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2010, at Togus Veterans Medical Center in Augusta, Maine after a long battle with cancer. Chipper was born in Teaneck, NJ and lived in Point Pleasant, NJ for many years before moving to Maine. He was a commercial fisherman and Merchant Marine. Chipper proudly served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War and was highly decorated. Chipper faithfully served the Lord and always spoke highly of his fellow parishioners. He also cherished his friends at VFW Post #9 and the support he received from the VA Clinic in Maine.
Chipper is predeceased by his parents and brother Jack Dahl. He is survived by his wife Virginia Dahl, his son Robert Dahl and his wife Jessica, his son John Dahl and Fiancé Gina Furrule, his daughter Cheryl Dahl, his grandchildren Faith Dahl and Robbie Dahl, his nephew John Dahl and niece Christine Fox, and his devoted dog “Star.”
