Obituary of Gene A. Bickford

GENE A. BICKFORD, 60 of Oakland, passed away at Thayer Hospital in Waterville on April 18, 2010. He was born in Waterville June 13, 1949, the son of Maurice and Virginia (Robinson) Bickford. He and his wife moved to Florida for 10 years and returned back to Maine where he worked for K-V Cap most recently. He was an avid bowler who also enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved four-wheeling and was a member of Central Maine ATV Club. He was predeceased by his father and is survived by his mother; his wife of 20 years, Joyce of Oakland; his children Tammy Janes of Waterville, Travis Bickford and wife Candy of Pittsfield, Jason Colford and Jonathan Colford, both of Newport; three step-children, Tony Richard and wife Dina of China, Alan Richard and companion Bobbi-Jo, Jenny Demo, all of Oakland; a brother Duane Bickford and wife Lynn of Fairfield; four sisters, Sandra Constable and husband Roland of Skowhegan, Gail Lasky, Valerie Caron, both of Fairfield, Marcia Hale and husband Greg of Winslow. He will be sadly missed by his 22 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
