Obituary of Rosemary Parisi Joslin

Rosemary (Parisi) Joslin, 93, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away quietly on July 5th 2010 at Waldo County General Hospital. Rose formerly of Millville, New Jersey moved to Monroe, Maine in 1971. Rose was one of four children born in Rosenhayne, to the late Erasimo and Catrina (Nee Ingraldi) Parisi. In her youth she worked with siblings on the family farm in Rosenhayne, NJ. During the off-season she worked for Chinichi’s Sewing Factory. Most of her adult life was spent working in the food service and catering industry. She also coordinated the school cafeteria at Sensor Elementary School in the Millville Public School System. After retiring to Maine, she was a volunteer caregiver for the Hospice program. She also was a volunteer driver for the Waldo County Transportation Program until 2000. Son, Dennis Joslin, sister Vita Hunter, and brothers Peter and Thomas Parisi predeceased her. She was an excellent cook, baker and gardener. She left school at an early age to work on the family farm. She returned to school at age 70 and was proud of completing her G.E.D. She was also a proud 25-year member of the Rebecca Lodge. Rose is survived by her family; husband: W.T. Joslin, two daughters: Rose Marie Walcutt and husband Gary of Maine, Reba Ormsby and husband Bryan of Arizona, three sons: John J. Sparacio of Glassboro NJ, Richard Sparacio of Monroe, Maine, Paul Sparacio and wife Joanne of Pitman NJ, fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A memorial service is planned for those who wish to celebrate her life. It will be on July 30th @ 1:00 pm at the Cabriel-Riposta Funeral Home in Blefast, Maine. If desired, memorial contribution may be made in Rose’s name to a charity of ones own choosing.
