Obituary of Charline F. Robbins
Charline F. Robbins, 77, died peacefully at her home Friday July 30,2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 19,1932.
She is predeceased by her husband Gordon Robbins, and her parents, Harry and Marion Franklin of New Jersey and Searsmont, Maine. She is survived by her three children, Russell J. Ward Jr. and wife Barbara Ward of Plymouth Maine, Harry F. Ward of Holden, Maine, Marion E. Hughes and husband Robert Hughes of Belfast, Maine; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Floyd of Massachusetts and Glendon “Peanut” Robbins of Belfast.
Charline was a member of the woman's auxiliary, The Searsmont Grange and the Belfast VFW for many years. She worked over 20 years at Mathew Brothers and was the owner of Robbins Roost Restaurant in Belfast. Hobbies included picking on her son in law, going to beano, crocheting and fishing, all the while taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and being "Grammy Robbins" to most of the kids in Belfast.
Visiting hours were held Sunday, August 1st at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 2nd at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Route 3, Belfast with President Gary Boske officiating. Interment will follow at Grove Cemetery, Belfast. A reception will be held after the burial at Charline’s home. On-line condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com.
