Obituary of Bernice Smith

BERNICE “BUNNY” SMITH, 87, passed away September 1, 2010 in Bangor. She was born in Hermon on February 4, 1923, the daughter of Willard and Nettie (Demeritt) Gordon. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carole Smith Berry in 1992; her husband of 60 years, Wendell Smith in 2001; as well as a sister, Arlene Haskell, and two brothers Beverly and Clyde Gordon. She is survived by her children, Constance Smith Vickery and her husband, John of Brunswick, Keryn Smith and wife Susan D, Smith of Surry; six grandchildren, Lisa B. Bodwell, Susanna V. Sharpe, Kathryn S. Vickery, Nicholas K. Smith, Amanda K. Smith, Emily J. Smith; four great-grandchildren, Samuel and Abigail Sharpe, Andrew and Meghan Bodwell; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4th at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast with Rev. Ken Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at Grove Cemetery, Belfast.
