Obituary of Hazel E. Gallant

HAZEL E. GALLANT, 80 of Belfast, passed away on December 26, 2010 in Belfast. She was born in Belfast on May 18, 1930, the daughter of Ralph and Lilly Whitcomb. Hazel enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Eli Whitcomb, Freemont Whitcomb, Richard Whitcomb, Carl Whitcomb and Frank Whitcomb; sisters, Alice Marshall and Eva Greenwood and daughter-in-law Sharon Gallant. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Alexander “Allie” Gallant of Belfast; her sons, Allen Gallant of Waldo and his girlfriend Linda Calligan of Searsmont and Wayne Gallant of Waldo and girlfriend Cindy Leach of Belfast; her sisters, Ida Dyer, Ella Bowden, Gertrude Whitcomb, Elenor Stratton; a brother, Francis Whitcomb; three granddaughters, Angela Anderson, Desiree Gallant, Heather Gallant and grandson Jason Gage; four great-grandchildren, William and Jeromy Chadwick, Damion Benner and Alexandria Estes; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, December 30th at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Graveside burial will be held in the spring at Paul Yard.
