Obituary of Delmar W. Ward

DELMAR W. WARD, 82, passed away in Belfast March 15, 2011. He was born in Jackson on August 30, 1928, son of Ray and Lurline (Hillman) Ward. He was Past Master of Harmony Masonic Lodge in New Britain, Connecticut and was very active in the Masons for many years. He enjoyed fishing in Maine in his younger years and later moved to Connecticut where he where he spent his working years. He retired back to Maine where he was born and raised. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister Janice Curtis; two brothers, Paul and Elmer Ward. Delmar is survived by ten nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Albert Curtis of Waldo and sister-in-law Beverly Ward of Bangor. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Spring interment will be at Jackson Corner Cemetery. Friends are asked to make donations in Delmar’s memory to Shriner’s Burn Hospital, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114-2623.
