Obituary of Flora E. Burgin

FLORA E. BURGIN, 85 of Belfast, passed away April 7, 2011 at Bangor. She was born in East Dixmont on March 14, 1926, daughter of Chelis and Laura Hustus. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW. She was also a member of the East Dixmont Community Church. Flora enjoyed playing Beano and helping others. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John Burgin; daughter-in-law Charlotte Boon and brother Samuel Boon. Flora is survived by her son, Harry Boon of Brooks; her brother Bruce Boon and sister Christine Ridley, both of Brooks; grandchildren, Rubie Bryer, Ginger Henderson, Laura Bell and companion Kenneth Tupper, Edward Boon and wife Melissa; great-grandchildren, Michael Hurd, Doris Harvey, Kevin Harvey, Lee Henderson; and her special dog, Trixie. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14th at Rose Cemetery in Brooks. Arrangements under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
