Obituary of Warren Amos Jero

WARREN AMOS JERO, 94 of Winterport, died May 29, 2011 at a local hospital. He was born June 1, 1916 in Crandon, Wisconsin, the son of William and Emma (Carrick) Jero. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran who worked as an electrical mechanic on aircraft for the U.S. Government. He enjoyed going out to breakfast, playing his guitar, listening to music and going to Hollywood Slots in Bangor. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Oralia (Lopez) Jero in 2008; also by his son David who was killed in Vietnam. He is survived by three children, Alan Jero and his wife Jeanne of California, Machele Gromek and her husband Rick of Winterport, Kristy Hollomon and her husband John of Vermont; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. Services will be held in Texas at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to any local children’s music groups.
