Obituary of Kristie Southworth Crandon

KRISTIE (SOUTHWORTH) CRANDON, 70 of Liberty, died on August 2, 2011 at a Bangor hospital after a long and courageous fight with COPD. She was born to Ernest and Gudrun Southworth in Danbury, Connecticut on August 3, 1940. She is predeceased by her mother, her husband Joseph Crandon and three grandchildren, Rikki, Amber and Joseph Natale. She is survived by her father Ernest Southworth of Liberty; three brothers Kenneth Southworth and his wife Rhonda of Augusta, Keith Southworth and his wife Kathy of Pawlet, Vermont and Kurt Southworth and his wife Donna of Liberty as well as two sisters Kathleen Wentworth and her husband Tim of Montville, Karen Southworth of Liberty and all of their families. She is also survived by her five children Nadine Cotier and her boyfriend Keith Fuller of Searsmont; Peter Natale and his wife Jessica of Montville, Paul Natale of Montville, Melissa Nealley and her husband Kevin of Troy, Holly Westover and her husband Jamie of Montville as well as 12 grandchildren Alexis and Samuel Robbins, Paul Natale, Kristi Witham and her husband Adam, Abigail and Margaret Natale, Heather and Katie Nealley, Leah Clark and her husband Ron,Taylor Natale and Michael Baker, Levi Westover; one great granddaughter Leni Robbins. She had many close friends. She greatly enjoyed working with the public, especially when she was able to share her love for cooking with them. She was also known for her beautiful quilts, dresses and other sewing. She was an avid reader who loved spending time with her family and friends. She always looked forward to playing Scrabble with her friend Joy Chamberlin. She will be truly missed and never forgotten by all who knew her. A celebration of Kristie’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13th at Liberty Masonic Hall. Arrangements under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
