Obituary of Jacqueline Lois Curry

JACQUELINE LOIS CURRY, 77 of Belfast, passed away August 4. She was born on December 21, 1934 in Brockton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy (Trott) Elsmore. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1953. She married Matthew R. Curry of N. Easton, Massachusetts in 1955. They moved to Belfast with their five children and ran their business known as Art’s Canvas Products. Jackie enjoyed knitting and crocheting newborn hats and afghans which she donated to Waldo County General Hospital maternity ward. She also knit hundreds of hats and mittens for the children of Waldo County for many years. Jackie is survived by her husband, Matt; her five children, M. Brian Curry and his wife Ro-ann of Belmont, Susan Curry and fiancé, Neil Mackay of Waldo, Steve Curry and Judy Soper, Arthur Curry of Belfast and Lisa and Alan Curry of Searsmont; 13 grandchildren, Briana, Brooklyn, Jesse, Jarrod, Mellissa, Chelsey, Ross, Brandon, Chase, Logan and Tyler; 10 great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Rosalind, Lily, Kaysea, Konnor, Natalie, Ariana, Karagan, Kaydence Colton and special people Cheryl and Jennifer, Gabi and Joe. A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held at Matt and Jackie’s home on August 21st. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
