Obituary of Stephen Lloyd McKenna

STEPHEN LLOYD McKENNA, 62 of Belgrade passed away August 16th at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta surrounded by family and friends after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born February 21, 1949 the son of the late Vinton J. McKenna and Leona (Small) McKenna. He was a Vietnam veteran who served in the Army, a recipient of the Purple Heart. He enjoyed spending time with family friends and grandchildren and also the occasional poker game. He also liked to fish and play pool. He is predeceased by his wife Lorraine (Severance) McKenna; siblings, Robert McKenna, Kenneth McKenna, Roland McKenna, Lawrence McKenna, Sue Ellen Moody, Judith Dearborn. Survivors include his siblings, Corrine Beckwith of Augusta, Beverly Ryan of Montville, Harold McKenna of West Gardiner, Rodney McKenna of Somerville; his five step-children, many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. At his request there will be a graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Dresden at 1 p.m. Friday, August 26th.
