Obituary of Viola Stinson

VIOLA STINSON spent her last remaining days at home surrounded by loved ones when she passed on October 22, 2011. The daughter of Emery and Alice Rideout, she was born in East Brunswick on May 18, 1920 and attended the Bath school system. She had four brothers, Arthur, Henry, Emery Jr. and Carlton Rideout, the last remaining sibling; two sisters Ada Henderson and Beatrice Blethen. She married Alton D. Stinson on October 11, 1939, the one and only love of her life who she lost on March 6, 1984. They had three children together, John E. Stinson, Alton D. Stinson Jr., and Doris Stinson; then filled the house with six grandchildren, David, Sherri, Daniel, Travis, Amanda and Jessica and many great-grandchildren, Samantha, Lakotah, John “J.D.”, Gabriel, Layla, Louchon and a baby on the way. Viola lived a very full life and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Sherri and Lakotah for all you have done and to the nursing staff. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on October 30th at Riverside Cemetery on Day Ferry Road in Woolwich. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. at American Legion “Smith Tobey” on Congress Street in Bath.
