Virginia Ruth (Jacome) Sorrentino, 79, of Belfast, ME, formerly from Cohasset, MA, passed peacefully on October 23, 2011 surrounded by her family. Loving wife of the late Louis D. Sorrentino. Sr., devoted mother of Louis D. Sorrentino, Jr. and his friend Nancy Biscone of Belfast, ME, Edward Sorrentino and his wife Elaine of Braintree, MA and Robert Sorrentino and his friend Shirley Rogers of Belfast, ME.; daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (McAuliffe) Jacome. Sister to Edward and Eileen Jacome of Port Orange, FL. Grandmother of Alycia Lindquist of Quincy, MA, Andrew Sorrentino of Whitman, MA and Adam Sorrentino of Belfast, ME. Great grandmother to Quintin Sorrentino, Benjamyn Lindquist and Magnolia Rose Sorrentino, aunt to Tiffany Jacome Norman and Kristina Jacome, and great aunt to Tristin Norman. Loved by many, Virginia always put family first. She gave many years of dedicated service as a CNA at Bradbury Nursing Home and Tall Pines Nursing Home. She enjoyed many good times with her friends Laurie Ginn, Donna Bradford and Ora Dickey. Visiting hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 26th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Private burial service at Woodside Cemetery in Cohasset, MA.
