Obituary of Ronald T. Bunker

RONALD T. BUNKER, 74 of Belfast, went home to be with the Lord on May 3, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born on March 31, 1938 in Beals Island, Maine, the son of Delbert N. and Prudence (Seavey) Bunker. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was a bus driver for MSAD #34 for 25 years as well as did custodial work at the Nickerson School, and always had a great rapport with the children. Some of his greatest enjoyments were his T.V. shows, and getting his black coffee with a little ice from McDonalds. He also enjoyed people watching and his dogs. Ronald was on the CB for many years, and enjoyed his car collection. He will be remembered as a man of integrity, and for his unique sense of humor. His family also recalls him as a loving and devoted husband and father. He is predeceased by his parents; a sister Hazel Faulkingham; brother-in-law Ronald “Pop” Faulkingham; two sons, Kevin Lee Bunker and Allan Ronald Bunker. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Alberna (Beal) Bunker; his beloved children, Delbert Bunker and wife Mary, Wyman Bunker and wife Audrine, Michael Bunker and wife Theresa, and Karen Hewey and husband David, all of Swanville; one brother Marriner Bunker and wife Donna of Beals Island; his grandchildren, Allan, Adam, William, Miranda, Lee, and Micaela; great-grandchildren, Katrina, Brianna and Allie; niece Madeline, and nephews Osmond, Wade and special dog Bubba. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to Alberna Bunker, 37 Achorn Road, Belfast, ME 04915. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
