Obituary of Roseanna Marie Dourant

MONTVILLE Roseanna Marie Dourant "Rosie", 54 of Montville, passed into our Lord's hands on October 17, 2012 unexpectedly. She was born and raised in the Central Falls area of Rhode Island and spent the last 20 years of her life residing in Maine. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Throughout her life she enjoyed many interests including cooking, crocheting, games, and travel; but her passion was her family and the children of all ages that she welcomed into her home, affectionately known as "Rosie's Place". She will be remembered for her spaghetti and meatballs, hearty laughter, spontaneity and, of course, her compassion. She was the loving wife of Raymond Francis Dourant, Jr. and devoted mother to the six children they raised together, Raymond Dourant III, Sherry Dourant, Richard Giroux, Chrissie Dourant, Amanda Giroux, and Tammy Dourant. She was the proud grandmother of Alexus, Kianna, Raymond, Jamal, Jeff, Amber Rose, Mckayla, Ariana, Jibril, Jeffrey, Jeffrey, and Moussa. She was the daughter of Eugene and the late Doris Campbell, Sister to Faith Swiech, the late Joseph Fontaine, Doris Fontaine, Larry Fontaine, and Jeanne Perry. Friends and loved ones are welcome to join together in celebration of her life on October 27th 2012 at 1:00 pm. The service will be held at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast Maine.
