Nettie was a long time member of the Northport Community Church and prominent figure at Waldo County General Hospital as a hospital aid where she volunteered over 4200 hours from 1976 to 2008, making her one of the top 10 Volunteers. She always considered W.C.G.H. her second home. She loved gardening, watching the wildlife that would appear outside her window and picnics. Most of all though, she simply loved being with her family. Nettie is predeceased by her loving husband Robert, brother Ronald Merithew and two great-great grandchildren Daemyn and Andrew Webber. The family would like to send a special thanks to the Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice team, especially Gretchen and Sylvia, for the kindness and support through these trying times. The family would also like to thank Dr. Mailoux and Sharon for the wonderful care they gave her, especially the constant communications and caring during her weeks in hospice care.
