Obituary of Lloyd N. Carson

LLOYD N. CARSON, died at home March 29, 2013. He was born July 7, 1933 in Robbinston, Maine, the son of Bessie Carson. He graduated from Calais High School, then joined the Navy where he served for 20 years. Lloyd then worked as a mechanic in Massachusetts until he moved to Knox, Maine with his wife, Annette Carson. He continued mechanic work for Ingraham Equipment until he retired. Lloyd served as a member of the Oddfellows of Monroe, Dirigo Grange of Freedom and the American Legion of Unity. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He also enjoyed entertaining his family and friends with his guitar and playing cards. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 30 years, Annette Carson; his sisters Cathy Garner of Tennessee, Eleanor Lambert of Robbinston, Shelia Merrill of Hermon; brothers-in-law Jim Weaver of Monroe, Scott Weaver and his fiancé Mary Dion of Monroe; several nieces and nephews. At Lloyd’s request, there will be no services. There will be a gathering in celebration of his life this summer. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
