Obituary of Brenda Klein

BRENDA KLEIN, 65 of Troy, formally of Southbury, Connecticut, died May 26, 2013 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with renal cell carcinoma. She was the devoted wife of 48 years to Charles Klein. Brenda was born October 10, 1947 in Woodbury, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Herbert Benson and Elizabeth Benson. Brenda grew up in Southbury and was a 1965 graduate of Southbury High School. Charlie and Brenda moved to rural Maine in 1992 to “live the good life”. Brenda enjoyed spending time with family, her flower gardens, holidays, her dogs and weekends at the camp on Graham Lake. Brenda was a long time employee of the Sebasticook Valley Health Care Facility. She leaves her husband Charles of Troy, Maine and three children and their families: son Charles and wife Rashel of Pittsfield, Maine, George and wife Shannon of Unity, Maine and Mary and husband Lee also of Troy, Maine; grandchildren, Jake, Nigel, Cameron, Caleb, Kiersten, Jasmine, Tanner and Daniel. A special niece, Edie Valerio and husband Dominick and their children Jessica and Emily of Palmdale, California. Brenda, the youngest of six, leaves her sister Lois and husband Charles Moon of Port Charlotte, FL, Myron and wife Sylvia Benson of Washington Depot, CT, Sylvia and husband Tony Socci of Milford, CT, John Benson of Watertown CT, Jean and husband James Clark of Monroe, Ct as well as many nieces, nephews and family members. A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held from 3-6 p.m. May 30th at the family house.
