Obituary of Nadine Brown

Nadine (Nade) Brown July 1, 1950 - March 1, 2014 Nadine M. (Williams) Brown, 63, of Searsmont, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 1, 2014, after a valiant fight with cancer. Nadine was born July 1, 1950 in South Spencer, MA, the daughter of George and Madeline Williams. Nadine was predeceased by her father and mother, her brother Rodney Blodget, and her sisters Patty Blodget, Linda Blodget, Barbara Williams, and Louise Williams. She leaves behind her loving husband of 23 years, Edwin Brown, her daughters Kim Lacaire and her husband Patrick, Terry Robichaud, and Paula Lavin and her husband Jamie; her step-daughters Stacey Brown Banks and her husband Michael, and Ramona Burkey and her husband Dan. She also leaves behind her many beloved grandchildren, Mitchell Lacaire, Sarah Lacaire, Michael Lacaire, Aurora Lacaire, Bradley Lavin, Nathan Robichaud, Andrew Lavin, Emily Lavin, Mackenzie Banks, Hannah Banks, Bobby Banks, and Andrew Burkey. She also leaves behind her brothers George Williams, Richard Williams, Edward Williams, sisters Russella Tambolio, and Lana Williams, as well as many nieces and nephews. Nadine was passionate yet humble in all she did for others. She was a gifted seamstress and crafter, sewing love in the stitches and personality in each creation. In the many scrapbooks she thoughtfully made for others, she was able to remind them of the things that are most important, love, family and good times together, recreating tender scenes of precious memories. She enjoyed yard sales and antiques, home decorating and baking cakes- a cup of days gone by and pinch of today and tomorrow. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where your name was remembered and where you remembered her name. She poured her love into her grandchildren and was filled up again by their smiles and hugs. She was a gracious and elegant lady to her man to the very end. A memorial service to celebrate Nadine’s life will be held at the First Church, 8 Court St. Belfast on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory made me made to Belfast Soup Kitchen PO Box 1153 Belfast, ME 04915 Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast, ME 04915
