Obituary of Peter F. Meyer

LAMOINE - Dr. Peter F. Meyer, "Doc," passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends. He writes: "I put myself in the hands of my higher power and am now free of all pain and suffering. I carry in my heart my supporting wife, Helen, of 24 years and those friends and family who have remained by my side throughout my journey here on Earth. I have enjoyed practicing dentistry for over 30 years in Ellsworth and thank my patients and wonderful staff for their loyalty and years of service. I will miss you along with my family, my weekly treks to the library, my jaunts and tales of fly fishing and bird hunting with Daicey, Brisa and other outdoorsmen; and the love and laughter we've all shared at West Lake and beyond." His celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Ellsworth. His family invites you to join them for reminiscing immediately after in the church meeting room.
