Obituary of Danny Steven Jacobs

Danny Steven Jacobs, 67, born 1946 in Ellsworth, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on March 5, 2014. Son of Kathleen Pinkham and Samuel Jacobs Jr. Danny was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, Entrepreneur, Lobsterman, local business owner, as well as a jack of all trades. Most importantly Danny seems to be remembered for his abilities as a caregiver. Danny took great pride in helping those he loved during their times of need. Danny was known to place several calls to whom ever he worried for until being assured of their well-being. Danny loved animals, mostly his faithful loyal dogs, they easily brought out his gentle loving side. He is survived by his mother Kathleen Pinkham, Fiancé Susan Webber, Daughter Vicki Sargent her husband Russell their children Cory, Holly, Cord, Cody, and Logan Daughter Jeannie Phoenix-Wiseman and her children Heather, Lisa, Maryanne, Jody and Joyce, Son Leon Jacobs and his children Brittany, Autumn, Cameron and Jake Daughter Kathy Donovan and her children Courtney, Caitlin, Isaiah Daughter Jessica Meyer and her husband Ziegfree their children Rylee and Skylar. 15 great grandchildren. His siblings Esther , Arthur and wife Kate, Joseph and wife Cynthia, Valerie and Lisa. Cousin Steve Butler. Many nieces and nephews. Special friends Richard Donovan and Sylvester ( Cappy) Lyle Danny was predeceased by His father Samuel Jacobs Jr, Niece Nichole Jacobs, Life long friend Trudy Radcliffe-Beal, domestic partner Dorrie Lyle and their child. Maternal grandparents Leon and Esther (peep) Butler Paternal grandparents Samuel and Jean Jacobs Service to be announced ,Interment at Mount Height Cemetary in Southwest Harbor. In lieu of flowers donations in Danny's memory can be made to either The Nichole M. Jacobs Scholarship First National Bank in Bar Harbor or Agent Orange Vietnam Veteran Memorial.
