Kert, we love you so and thank you for giving us the gift of living life to the fullest, for your love, for your selflessness and for your joy of laughter. Kert lived life to the fullest, filling his days spending time with family, making people smile, going on adventures with Patrick and Lori, listening to music, reading, skiing, golfing, photography, kayaking, and camping “upta camp”. His favorite teams were the NY Yankees and Baltimore Colts. He attended every game and activity that Jonathan and Patrick participated in. He was very involved in the Harpswell Recreation Department, coaching baseball, chaperoning the Harpswell Ski Program and keeping score for Saturday basketball games for 15 years. He was the only father on the PTO during Jonathan and Patrick’s years at Harpswell Islands School. Kert had a deep love of life on the ocean and was a lobsterman and fisherman for many years. He was at home on the ocean, in the mountains, on lakes, and in rivers. His motto was, “No shirt, no shoes, and dancing in the rain.” A Celebration of Kert’s life will be held on May 10, 2014 at 2:00 at the Cundy’s Harbor Community Church and Cundy’s Harbor Community Hall.
