Obituary of Roberta H. Lear

ROBERTA H. (HALLOWELL) LEAR, 93 of Belfast, passed away on November 23, 2014 at Tall Pines. She was born on July 4, 1921 in Belfast the daughter of Vilento and Faustie (Hanson) Hallowell. Roberta was a long-time Belfast resident who moved to Unity in 1991. She was a bookkeeper at Consumers Fuel in Belfast for 36 years. Some of her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family and her little dog Holly. She is predeceased by her parents, first husband Robert A. Wood, second husband Linwood Lear and sister Thelma Hickley. Roberta is survived by her beloved children, Linda Sherrard and husband Gerald E. of Hermon and step-son Richard L. Lear and wife Carmen of Florida; her grandchildren Kimberley Baxter, Kevin Sherrard; step-grandchildren Richard Lear Jr., Lori Jarvis, Robert Lear Jr., Ronald Lear, Sandra Toothaker and 12 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Interment will follow at Grove Cemetery, Belfast.
