Obituary of Michele K. Badger

MILO - Michele K. Badger, 54, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 24, 2015, after her courageous battle with cancer. Michele was born on March 7, 1960, in Norwalk, CT, daughter of Harry and Vivian Brasslett. She married the love of her life, Everett Badger, 34 years ago. Together they raised their daughter Heather. Michele will be remembered for all her acts of love and kindness to her family and friends. Michele enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband. She looked forward to spending time at camp on South Twin with her niece and nephew, leisurely boat rides, warm camp fires, and drinking coffee with friends and family. She loved her quality time with her daughter Heather floating in the pool and lounging on the deck on hot days. She loved BBQ's on the deck with friends and family. She especially enjoyed her trips to the slots with her special sister-in-law Ella. Michele had a love for the holidays. She enjoyed dressing up every Halloween to greet the children at the door. She loved her dog Scamp and he surely will miss her! Michele was a hard worker. She worked many years at Dexter Shoe until the doors closed. She moved on to Creative Apparel making many close friends along the way. She spent her last few years cleaning and substitute teaching at MSAD #41. She enjoyed the "cleaning crew" and being around the children. Michele is survived by her husband, Everett; daughter, Heather; her sisters, Barbara and Donna and husband, Mike; her brothers, Michael and Thomas; her sisters-in-law, Sally, and Ella and husband, Gary; her special uncle, Adrian and wife, Shelley; aunt, Barb; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her special brother-in-law, George. She is also survived by nieces and nephews: nieces, Teresa and husband, Bill, Candy and husband, Wade, Lisa Kurker and Kate Caron; three "special" nieces, Morgan, Kendra and Taylor; nephews, Corey and wife, Julie, Rory and Ryan Morrissey; and two "special" nephews, Alec and Austin. Michele had a very special friend, Susan McKinley, who will always be her "girlfriend." Michele thought the world of Heather's friends, April, Tori, Susie, Brandy and Becky, treating them as if they were her own. A celebration of life will be held on her Birthday, Saturday, March 7, at 3 p.m. at the Kiwanis building in Milo, ME.
