Obituary of Evelyn Miller

Evelyn Ralph Miller, 94, passed away March 3 at Jefferson Green Eldercare home with family and wonderful care workers at her bedside. She was a loving mother and friend and will be sadly missed. Evelyn was born Dec. 7, 1920 in Orff's Corner, Waldoboro, to Marjorie and Ward Ralph Sr. She graduated in the class of 1939 from Waldoboro High School. In August 1939 she married Chester Miller. They raised their family in Waldoboro. They bought a farm and raised chickens for years. Over the years she worked at Medomak Canning Co. and Hoods Egg Plant. During the summer she was busy working alongside her husband in his big gardens. The family would enjoy spending time at their cottage on Damariscotta Lake. Evelyn was a member of the Orff's Corner Church and loved her gospel music and enjoyed helping with the church suppers. She loved spending time with her family and friends along with listening to music and reading. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Chester Miller; daughter, Paula Bunker; granddaughters, Devon Miller, and Torie Bunker; and brothers, Harold, Willis, Richard, Roy, and Ward Ralph. She is survived by sons, Bruce and wife Elsie Miller, and Barry Miller; daughters, Brenda and husband Kenny Fowler, and Beth House; nine grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephew. Her burial will be this spring in Orff's Corner cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Direct Cremation of Belfast.
