Obituary of Nathaniel W. Bennett

Nathaniel William Bennett, 62, of Searsmont, ME passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Waldo County General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Nathaniel had a love of reading, learning and politics. He was a graduate of The Newman School, formally known as Newman Prep in Boston MA. He was a graduate of the University of Maine at Augusta attending the Hutchinson Center where he received his degree in Mental Health and Human Services as well as in Justice Studies. His desire was to help others in need. He was predeceased by his father E. Howard Bennett III, his mother Phyllis Younger Dukes and his youngest brother Jonathan Younger. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Daniel C. Bennett and wife Janet of Danvers MA, Diane Dean and husband Lonnie of LaGrange NC, Jefferson Bennett of New Orleans LA, Grace Leger and husband Anthony of Orange MA, Jodi Ann McMamara of Methuen MA. He is also survived by his companion Diana Walker of Bangor ME and many nieces and nephews. An internment is planned with family and friends on Friday September 18 at 10:00 AM at his home 1156 Moody Mt Rd. Searsmont ME.
