Obituary of Kathleen Pendleton

Kathleen Pendleton, 65, passed away on Friday September 11, 2015. Born on August 14, 1950 in Evanston Illinois, Katy was the daughter of the late William and Vreeda Lynch. She was the beloved wife of Mark Pendleton, III and mother of Laura Anne Pendleton (Trent Ziegler), Mark Forester Pendleton and William Timothy Pendleton. She is also survived by her siblings W. Timothy (Mary) Lynch, Thomas M. (Deborah) Lynch and Monica (Thomas) Dutmers. After graduating from Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart and Franklin College, Katy began a career in journalism working for the Council on Foreign Relations, the American Dental Association and the National Association of Realtors. Katy and Mark started their own neckwear business, M. Pendleton Company, in 1984 where Katy served as President until her retirement in 2009. Katy will be remembered for her generous, loyal and creative spirit. She brought joy and happiness to those around her through her selfless friendship and her love for travel, art, cooking and congregation. Most importantly, Katy was a loving mother and devoted friend who will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alice L.
