Obituary of Valerie G Kaler

UNION - Valerie Kaler, 68, of Union, passed away Tuesday November 3rd, 2015 after a brief stay at Mass General Hospital in Boston. Born in Penrith, England she was the daughter of Ronald and Mildred Graham. Valerie grew up in Rockland then resided with Peg and Don Rogers and their 4 children: Skip, Steward, George and Chris. Her passing comes after a long battle with cystic kidney disease. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Sandra Joki. She is survived by Steven Luce, her partner of 25 years. She is also survived by her two children: Marcia Joseph of Wareham, Massachusetts and Diane Crudell of Waldoboro; two step-children: Steven Luce of Union and Lisa Lachance of Rockland; and nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held Saturday November 7th at 10:30am at Grove Cemetery, Belfast. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
