Obituary of Judith Adler

Judith Lee Adler, age 56, passed away peacefully November 1, 2019, after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born March 23, 1963, to Robert Lee O’Connell, Sr. and Sylvia Annette Marie (St. Cyr) O’Connell at Fort Eustis in Newport News, Virginia. She was married to Timothy Lee Adler for 31 years and they live in New Sweden with their daughter Emily Lee Adler, whom she loved and of whom she was always so proud. Judy loved helping people and was rarely ever sitting still, she always had an eye for a kind moment or to be there when someone needed something, be it a helping hand, a bit of her often quirky sense of humor to lighten the mood, a gentle nudge to get someone going in the right direction, but especially baking treats to celebrate others. She was not without faults however. She was Intelligent to a fault, generous to a fault, competitive to a fault, and pragmatic to a fault. Her no nonsense look at life kept her life grounded and helped her always see the best way forward for herself and others. She loved these things more than anything else other than perhaps walking at Pine Point Beach on a sunny summer day. For many years she touched the lives of co-workers and customers alike. She worked as a supervisor at AMHC, at Pine Health Services as a medical assistant, and as an office manager for Dr. Michaud in Caribou. She worked weekends at Eureka restaurant in Stockholm where she loved the food, the atmosphere and the live music. Judy is survived by her husband Timothy Lee Adler and daughter Emily Lee Adler of New Sweden, her mother, Sylvia O’Connell, her sister and husband Janet and Daniel Pierce and their children Sam and Madison, her sister Elizabeth O’Connell, sister and wife, Mary O’Connell and Mary Ann Mancini, her sister and husband Jackie and Scott Sawtelle and their son Ben, and brother Robert and Christina O’Connell and their son Declan.
