Obituary of Douglas D Moss

DOUGLAS D. MOSS JR., 75, passed away August 13, 2018 at his residence in New Harbor. He was born in West Willington, CT to Douglas and Blanche (Korner) Moss Sr. He attended Windham High School in Willimantic where he was co-captain of the football team. Doug loved sailing and was passionate about drama. He taught high school English and Drama. He was interested in energy conservation and had a successful business, Eastern Energy Solutions, in Norwich, Connecticut. He was an active member of both St. Andrew's Church and New Harbor Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bernadette (McGowan) Moss; a sister Linda Leigh Powell; nephews and nieces, Edwin and Bonnie, Margaret, Regina and husband Rob, Harold and wife Jacqueline; brothers-in-law Jay and Patrick; sisters-in-law Mary, Theresa and husband Gary, Geraldine and husband Robert. He will also be missed by the family cat, Sunshine. Hal and Doug had a very close relationship - Doug was like a father to Hal. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. August 25th at St. Andrews Church,11 Glidden St, Newcastle.
