Obituary of Lornia A Wood

Lornia Anestine Wood, 92, of Deer Isle, ME passed away at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital on April, 16, 2018. In earlier days, she worked in shoe shops, welded at Bath Iron Works, and worked in a sew shop. She raised her family in MA, and CT., before moving to her husband's birthplace in ME. She joined the Rebekahs Ladies Aid, and volunteered sewing at the Island Nursing Home. She crocheted many afghans for the whole family and friends. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. She was loved by so many and all knew her for her sweet, and kind ways. Lornia was predeceased by her parents Joseph Cote and Aurora Michaud, brothers; Roland and Leo, sisters; Rose Marie, Mary Claire, and Claudia, sons; George, Danny, and husband Norman. She is survived by her daughters; Darlene King, and Kathy Ryan. Two sons; Don Giguere, and Jack Ryan; many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Reggie Michaud and wife Lula, sisters; Irene Doliber, Rita Hanning and husband Bob; brother-in-law Ed Wood and wife Connie; several nieces and nephews.
