Obituary of William F. Hale

William F. Hale, 93, passed away March 13, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Wells, Maine November 16, 1924 to Albert and Rena (Wheeler), Hale. He served in the US Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Served on the USS Sablefish Submarine. William worked as an Oil Burner Technician. Employed at John W. Watson for 30 years, Wingate Oil Co. for 3 years. Haskel Energies for 3 years. Self Employed for 10 years. He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Faye Hale; children and grandchildren; William Hale and wife Marie and Marie’s son Ryan, Douglas Hale and wife Rose and their children Scott and Richard. Steven Hale and wife Cindy and Steve’s children, Dean Hale and wife Sarah, Ashlee Turgeon and Husband Matt. Brother David Hale and wife Nancy, Sister June Rankin. 3 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Services will be announced at a later date. Those who wish may make donations in William's memory to Kennebec Valley Humane Society, 10 Pet Haven Lane, Augusta, Maine 04330. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, Belfast.
